Miami Dolphins Left Tackle Branden Albert is frustrated. He is recovering from his ACL surgery but has hit some road blocks to start the year off. These little nagging injuries are a sign that Albert wasn’t 100% when he came back. Albert has made the impossible a reality by even starting week 1 this season. Although looking back at it now, Albert probably came back a little too fast and it’s putting him and this team in a bad spot. The Pro Bowl LT admitted that he only recently started running in August for the first time before pushing himself to get ready for the season opener which is absolutely crazy.

His hamstring injury further proof that his body was not ready to start the year off. Its takes players a full offseason to get their body right and Albert tried to do it in only 3 weeks coming off major knee surgery, he was bound to fail or get hurt. Thank God that he didn’t tear up his knee again like Delmas because then the Dolphins would have really been screwed. Even though Albert is hurt you can’t say he lacks heart for trying so hard to play and help this team out. Albert could have easily took his sweet time coming back since he already has a huge deal with the Fins, instead he killed himself to be out there with his team mates.

Yesterday, Albert was limited at practice but I’m not sure if it would be wise to play him or give him 3 weeks of rest. We need him to play no doubt but in the long run we need him healthy.  I guess we will have to wait and see what the team decides to do with him. No matter what happens he’s got my respect for the effort that he puts forth to even make it this far.

Fan Duel – Hurry and Play Tonight!

Rishard Matthews is finally in the starting lineup this week heading into the Jets game on Sunday. I’m surprised that it took so long considering Kenny Stills has been a non factor and Matthews and Tannehill have had success together already this season. Matthews leads Miami in yards (262) and TD receptions (3).  Now, if the coaching staff can get DeVante Park more playing time that would be great.

Parker is fully healed from offseason foot surgery and is ready to make a bigger splash in the Dolphins offense. With Matthews starting only Greg Jennings is standing in the way of Parker getting more snaps in the offense. Jennings has started every game this season even though has been a gigantic disappointment (4 catches 39 yards). Parker gave the Fins some life against Buffalo when Tannehill went to him (3 catches 46 yards). I think as a fan base and as an organization we need to see our 1st round pick play and do well, especially when the team isn’t showing much promise.

One final thought guys…. Am I the only one that wants to see Jonas Gray get a lot more action against the Jets???
